Question Is emotional mistreatment by an ER Dr. malpractice?

I went to the Er in the early morning hours with a panic attack ( I uffer with depression and anxiety). I was laughed at by the ER Dr. was talked down to , was not listened to and was feeling just as bad when I left. I now have more trouble sleeping but have a hard time talking to a dr about it because of the mistreatment from the ER. I have had to give up my part time job because my problem is getting worse. Now I am having a had time keeping my household going . Does this sound like a malpractice issue or would it be my word against the ER docter?

That may be a tough case to have filed. You would need some very compelling medical evidence and testimony.

That is really not on. Did you get the name of the Doctor. I too suffer from Panic/Anxiety disorder, so know exactly what you are going through. Contact the ombudsman for the medical profession and put your case to them. Panic disorder should not be taken lightly, and can be debillitating. I have been on meds for 12 years now and lead a normal life. If you want details you can contact me.
