Do I have any legal rights?

I went to a dentist to get 2 extractions and to get a second option on the need for full dentures or 1 full and 1 partial due to gum disease. I had been to 2 different dentist, each with their own opinion. So he was #3 He told me I would needed to have all my teeth pulled 20 in all. So at the time I had 2 molars impacked and he told me that if I didn't get the molds done right then, before he pulled the molars that it would be impossible to get an accurate fit for the dentures. So I paid 2600. upfront right then to get this done. Mind you I was in alot of pain and because he made me feel that there was no choice but to do it now. Well I got the molds made and they where sent to a lab. the next day I realized that they had not had me pick out a color for the teeth and I had other questions. When I called one of the assistance told me that they did have me pick out the color and shape. I said no I hadn't and I want my teeth to look like my teeth. She most blantly said" Why would you want your teeth" Mind you I had perfect teeth, I had gotten an infection during a deep scale cleaning that had caused the damage. So I called a lab that was in the phone book, it just happened to be the lab that does the work for the dentist. He had me come to his office we picked color and shape that day and I returned to him after the teeth where set in wax. Perfect looking teeth. Then came the day for the extractions. He busted me in the mouth 3 times trying to get teeth that didn't need to be removed. The teeth don't fit at all. So I went back that day and said they don't fit in my mouth. I couldn't even close my mouth. He told me that if they didn't fit they wouldn't fit. He told me to come in the next day and they would fix the problem. Well the next day he wasn't in the office I had to see the partner and more experienced dentist. He said right away that I would need new teeth but I would have to wait 6 weeks before I could get new molds done and he blamed the lab. Well it's been 8 weeks and because of the bone damage that was caused from him crushing the bone in my lower jaw with the dentures I have 4 or more weeks to wait and hope that the bone will heal with gum tissue. If that doesn't work I have to have my gums cut open and remove all the broken bones. So that is over 3 months with no teeth and no decent food. I have lost 4 pants sizes already and will have to replace my all my clothes and I still have 4 weeks to go. I can't stand to look at my self in the mirror my face is so thin and gaunt. I have contacted several attorney's but have had no luck in getting anyone to take the case.

Now for the questions> Can I take this guy to civil court without a lawyer?
Do I have a leg to stand on. I would like to get my money back and if possible some suffering.

1. I found out that you can not take a mold and have any swelling.
2. He lied to me about not being able to get a good mold, those 2 teeth would not make a difference in or out. The lab goes by the bone ridge that I no longer have because of the damage he did. So it won't be a simple fix
3. 3 hits in the mouth from pulling teeth that I now know did not need to be pulled.

Please if you have any info to help me I would truly be indebted to you

Based on what you say here, you could try to file suit against him (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to his behavior... You may also report him to your state licensing board.
