Bad ink: Concern about foreign gangs entering the U.S. has prompted Washington to delay or deny green cards, or legal permanent residency, to some applicants with tattoos, immigration attorneys say. WSJ Exculpatory: The offices of the Los Angeles County District Attorney and Sheriff routinely withhold potentially vital evidence from accused individuals, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday by the American Civil Liberties Union and others that mirrors a wider national debate over the rights of criminal defendants. A spokeswoman for District Attorney Steve Cooley said the suit is “a blatant attempt to mislead the public,” adding that the office fully complies with disclosure requirements.
