The ease with which Twitter users can connect and communicate with one another has made this ubiquitous micro blogging social network a prime location for marketers to reach out to potential consumers. Spam, on the other hand, is identified by its obviously thoughtless repetitions of irrelevant messages and links. Getting rid of Twitter spam is a collective effort. The more users who report a user for spam, the more likely Twitter will remove the offending account.
