Legal Services Facing a Big Budget Cut
LSC said Tuesday that, per a congressional agreement, its fiscal 2012 budget would be slashed by about 14% to $348 million.
 Law Blog reported earlier this month that Senate and House were $96 million apart. House appropriators had pushed a bill that would shrink the organization’s budget to $300 million, from its current level of $398.1. The Senate approved a bill that would have clipped the 2011 level to $396 million. More... |
