Justice Department Wins Access to Twitter Info in Wikileaks Probe
A federal judge on Thursday ruled that prosecutors could access information about Wikileaks-connected Twitter accounts.
 A federal judge on Thursday ruled that prosecutors can access information about Wikileaks-connected Twitter accounts belonging to Birgitta Jónsdóttir, a member of the Icelandic parliament who helped the antisecrecy group with the release of a classified U.S. military video; Dutch hacker Rop Gonggrijp; and Seattle-based WikiLeaks volunteer Jacob Appelbaum. The information includes internet and email addresses associated with the accounts. The department also sought records relating to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and alleged WikiLeaks source Bradley Manning, who did not contest the request. More... |
