Days before he is due to move over to the Governor's mansion, New York AG Andrew Cuomo has settled his knockdown, drag out suit against Steven Rattner, the financier and former Obama car czar.
![]() Rattner has agreed to pay $10 million to settle allegations that he paid kickbacks to land business from New York’s $125 billion pension fund. The suit has been famously nasty, with a Cuomo spokesman stating that Rattner “effectively stole from the taxpayers, defrauded the state pension fund and then lied to this office about it.” Rattner, in turn, has publicly likened Cuomo’s conduct in the case to “extortion.” More... |
