Default Rahm’s Chicago Roots Get Nod of Approval

Despite his celebrated tenure in D.C., Rahm Emanuel left his heart in Chicago, according to a ruling by a Chicago election-board officer considering a residency challenge to Emanuel's bid for Chicago mayor.



Emanuel still needs approval from the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners, but he has cleared a major hurdle, the AP reports.

Election board officer Joseph Morris concluded that Emanuel had no intention of abandoning his Chicago residency, noting that the former White House chief of staff often told friends that he planned to live in D.C. for no more than two years, according to AP.
