NFL commissioner Roger Goodell heads to Capitol Hill today to ask Congress' help in keeping the collectively bargained steroid use policy from being challenged on the basis of state law.
The effort comes amid frustration with court decisions that have blocked the suspension of two football players who tested positive for banned substances, though they weren't steroids. In prepared testimony, Goodell says the NFL is looking for "a specific and tailored amendment to the Labor Management Relations Act." Source: ABC 13 - National News |
