Illinois High Court Bats Down Bid to Boot Blago

Unfortunately, we don’t have much to add to this incremental development, aside from an alliterative headline. So we’ll just get right to it.

Last week, Illinois AG Lisa Madigan filed paper’s with the state’s high court seeking to remove Gov. Rod Blagojevich from office, as well as a temporary restraining order against the governor. “I recognize that this is an extraordinary request but these are extraordinary circumstances,” said Madigan at the time.

This afternoon, the Illinois Supreme Court rejected the motion. Here’s the Bloomberg report.
