Default How to break my apartment lease?

I move this apartment on November 1st, first they give the keys to move in late.
Second, there is leak in the kitchen sync and the oven never turn since i moved in. I've been calling them for repair and they never send anyone to repair the damages. those things wee damage prior to move in to the apartment. How do i break this leave and move out of this apartment? What are my options?

You cannot break your lease over these issues. If you still took occupancy, even though you received the keys late, you can do nothing about it now.

As for the repairs, quit calling for service. You cannot prove in court what you said in those phone conversations (and taping them is illegal). Write a letter to the LL or management asking for "repairs to the leak in the kitchen sink and to the oven that will not work." Ask them to "reply in writing within 10 days to tell you when they will repair these things". Send this letter to them by certified mail, return reply requested, and keep a copy for yourself. If they fail to make repairs, please post your state and I can tell you what remedies you have to correct this problem. You must have proof that you made a request for repairs and that the landlord failed to make these repairs, before you can take further steps.

Confused Re: How to break my apartment lease?

What if he sought to break lease before he was given keys (though still past the said move-in date) and didn't move in, would he be allowed to break lease?

If he signed the lease, they have a legal document to hold you liable for the rent and other obligations. Whether or not you took occupancy.
