Default fell on the stairs no handrail

I fell and have been off work for a week went to the ER and then a orthopedic and I go back to on Tuesday. I am still having pain in my hip upper leg. My roomate was employed by my landlord and was fired for really nothing other then landlord having a bad day. I am only saying all this because I think It will come up. My roomate was fired for theft after he ordered a part that he thought the ex-employee the machanic was to put the part on a warrenty part that was put on by the machanic working there at the time. My landlord went to unemployment hearing and won sorry to say after he lied. We have no lease and we are two weeks behind in rent. I just want him to give us a break and work it out. However he sues people as a hobby . My roomate payed rent yesterday and was told by the landlords general manager the landlords grandaughter that the landlord wanted him to work for him for back rent,he agreed. I did fall down the steps and hurt myself I do not like to admit this however I did. People with money and power always win right? Help what do I do with so many layers?

I'm not sure what your question is. If it is about the handrail being required, you need to check state building codes to see how many steps are allowed before a handrail is required.

If it is about your roommate being fired, I suggest you let him/her work this out for themselves. Since the only information I can get is third hand (from the roommate, then you, to me) I prefer not to comment, as I don't know the whole story.

As for the rent, you need to pay the rent on time. Don't expect the LL to work with you on paying it if you are already 2 weeks behind. In many states, you would already have a pay or quit, or an unconditional quit, notice and be on the process to eviction by 2 weeks into the month. Pay on time or within the grace period to avoid problems over this.

If you have another question that I did not answer, please repost.

Pay your rent on time! Why is the landlord the bad guy here?- He's not your parent- he's your landlord for heaven's sake. You're not living up to your end of the landlord/tenant bargain here.

You really are a piece of work. Do you listen to yourself? Quite a load of ______ there buddy. It appears that you have a problem with - lets say- how you present the facts. Get a little integrity - you need some badly. People DO notice this sort of thing you know.
