I am in desperate need of legal advice. I am in an aprtment that I have rented from four 4 years. The maintenance man and myself hve never gotten along, in fact he has never fixed one thing in my place. within the past few months he has moved up in the company that rents to me. before he was in power I had never had any sort of lease violation. within the first couple of months of him working with mangement I have received three violations that were falsified by him. I let it slide until the fourth one I receved yesterday. I received a three day to vacate because it said I broke the crime free lease agreement. First off, I have committed no crime and have nothing more than a speeding ticket on my record. Second, he is trying to make me look like a crimanal to evict me. Third, it is not a money issue as I have never been late on rent. I want to take legal action against the company can anybody help me with advice

That is true that that is ridiculous.
You may want to write the upper managers and tell them briefly what is going on. It is almost harassment at this point it would seem. |

Exactly what does your crime free addendum state? What section of it are you accused of violating? If there have been no police calls to your unit and no arrests or searches, go to your local police or sheriff's department. Ask them for a report of all calls to your address. If there are none, ask them for a report that shows this. Send this to the upper management of your complex and keep a copy in case this person tries to evict you over this. Let them know he is harassing you and you are not in violation of your lease in any way. Send the letter and report to them by certified mail, return receipt requested. And, of course, keep a copy for your records.

Sorry for such a late reply, the cops have been called on me tons for no reason. In fact, I have become friends with all the local police and every time they come it is for bull**** reasons and if anything they are just as sick of the accusations. nonetheless, there now is record of the police being called. should I stoop to thier level and call the police on them so I also have record

What were the reasons for calling the police? Noise levels? What? Get copies of these reports that show the police found nothing when they showed up each time. Many reports of the police finding absolutely nothing each time may actually work towards proving your harassment case. Send copies of these reports with a letter to management stating that the police have been called to your unit and found no cause for these calls XX times. Let management know that this person is harassing you for no reason and demand that it stop immediately.
