I wish to inform you that only a person can sign for himself. If landlord has signed your name then landlord can be forgery in the because he has made false signature in your name. Eviction may also be objected because the basis of lease agreement is a forged document. As you have not signed nor allowed any party to sign then the basis of eviction being lease agreement is actually never came to existence so no relief can be claimed on such a document.

Of course a LL can't sign your name to a lease. Any document that you did not personally sign is one you can dispute the validity of.

Why do you say he signed your name to a lease? How long ago was that, and at what point did he evict you (or try to evict you) for not paying?

You do realize that if there was any kind of agreement for you to pay rent, whether it was a written lease or rental agreement, or a verbal agreement, he can STILL evict you for nonpayment, right?

Hire an attorney. Even a slight alteration or a false signature can result in a forgery charge. Forgery is a Class 4 felony and is punishable by 1 to 3 years in prison and fines of $1,000 to $100,000.

No, the landlord cannot sign your name to a lease. However, he can evict if you have not paid the rent, whether lease or month to month.
