Unauthorized pets in rental unit
I have rented a trailer.
The occupant now has two dogs and cats in the unit. There was no agreement to allow pets and no pet deposit was paid. Can I remove the pets from the unit? |

You may not remove someone's pets from the rented unit without their permission. Instead send the tenant a notice of lease violation or a perform or quit notice. Keep a copy. Give them a specific time limit to cure the violation. (Check your state's law to see how much time you ned to give.) Some states give 30 days to cure the violation. Note in the paperwork that the violation of the lease is sufficient reason for eviction. If they do not remove the pets as requested, proceed with your state's eviction policies.
