Hello,
My roommate was asked to leave after just a few days she had moved in. I sent her an email giving her notice and then she was served a Notice of Termination. Of course she is not leaving, so I filed for eviction. I don't remember her getting any mail other than the "service mail", but now she is getting lots of mail. I don't even know how to ask questions about this, but I am sure you'll guess my concern. Sorry and thank you for the help. |

I wish to inform you that presently your roommate continues to stay in the premises, so she may use the mailing address of your premises till the eviction process is ongoing. Once the eviction process has been completed, you may inform the postal authorities that your roommate is no longer a resident of your premises and mail addressed to her may not be delivered at your premises.

Thank you for your response.
I don't mind her getting mail here and I will forward her mail if she leaves an address, no problem there at all. I was only worried that she might use that in court. Thank you. |

If she did NOT sign a lease, and was only there for a few days, you could have called the police and had her removed for trespassing perhaps. If she has threatened you, be sure you file a restraining order, and then follow through. |

Residency has nothing to do with this. All it does is establishes that she has lived at your address for a particular amount of time. It does nothing for the eviction case ahead of her.
