Change from Commissioner to Judge?

I'm involved in an Unlawful Detainer case, and originally agreed to have a Commissioner hear the case. Now I'd like to change to a real Judge. How to I go about requesting the change?

Since I have no way of knowing which state you are in, and since every state has different laws, you would have contact your local clerk of courts and ask for the procedure in your area. These procedures vary by state, and even by city. Some have a form for you to fill out to request a change in your case, others allow a change by making a petition to the court for the requested change. Call and ask for your area's procedure. Contact the commissioner and tell him and he will usually direct you.
