Ex-girlfriend/landlord witholding possesions
After breaking up with my ex-girlfriend and moving out of her house, I took all of my belongings that I could with me. Since then, I have made several attempts to get the rest of my belongings, but she has basically stonewalled me with statements like "I don't want to see you", "I am busy", and "You should have taken them with you when you left." Now she is claiming that because I did not come to pick them up, I forfeited my right to them. She has among other things, valuable furniture, property exceeding $500 and mail that came to the house before I changed my address, including a paycheck from my job. How can I go about getting my property? What legal rights do I have?

You can ask the police to escort you and/or sue her in small claims for any costs, the value of the items etc.
