The house that myself and 2 other tenants was recently was sold at a foreclosure sale. The previous owner stated that he and another party were going to bid a re-buy the house back. I went to the hearing/auction (Osceola County, Florida) to protect myself and to see what was going on, and the house was sold to another buyer. I briefly spoke to the new owner and was told I had 24 to move out. We ( myself and the other tenants) are current with the rent, but now that we were told this, not only to we have to rush to leave, but we are out of the rent payment which could have been used as a deposit for new next place we would have to move to. What are our rights and could long does the new onwer of the property have untill he can force us out or contact the sheriff office to evict us

I wish to inform you that you cannot be evicted in this manner. New owner can evict you by giving 90 days notice if he intends. In this regard under TITLE VII—Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act it is necessary that 90 days minimum notice must be provided. You may inform about your rights to your new landlord and may thus refuse to leave the premises.
