Breaking lease and security deposit

Breaking lease and security deposit
My lease states that I can terminate the 1-year lease early as long as I give a written thirty-day's notice. But even if I give the notice and agree to find a replacement, can my landlord withhold my deposit (on the sole basis of breaking lease)?
