Landlord restraining order
Can A landlord get a restraining to keep me from entering my girlfriends home?
She owns a mobil home & the pad is his. There has been no viloence not any threats involved. There have been no raising of voices between us....well the only threat is that he will get a restraining order against me to not allow me to enter her home. Thank you |

I am not an attorney, but common sense says that the landlord should have to demonstrate that you represent a significant threat to him or her personally in order to push something like that through.

Why would he get a restraining order against you if there has been no threats? I think this is a misinterpretation of his intentions. I'm assuming you are staying at your girlfriend's trailer frequently and you are not on the lease. Is that the problem? Normally, the LL can prohibit people who are not on the lease from staying with a tenant more than a few days throughout the tenancy. Is the LL paying for any of the utilities at this unit? If he is, he can write a lease violation to your girlfriend for having unauthorized people (you) staying with her more than the allowed number of days per rental period or lease period. If he pays for some of the utilities, you are running up his bill by staying in her unit. If he pay no utilities and she owns the trailer, unless you cause trouble, he probably can't do this.
