We just moved into our apartment complex about 3 months ago. When we moved in we paid a 300 pet deposit and got a cat. We filled out all the paperwork and etc. Well about 2 weeks ago my fiancee brings home a dog. This morning we get a notice on the door about or dog. Just saying to call our landlord. My fiancee called. And he told us that our apartment complex was no longer accepting pets and that we had to get rid of our dog.Or be out by the end of May. But our cat could stay. Alot of other people in our apartment complex have dogs. We paid the pet deposit. Can he do that? We signed a lease that said we could have pets. What can we do! We don't want to loose out puppy. And we can't afford to move!

They cannot do that. They cannot change the lease terms till your lease ends.
