witholding security deposit
I have returned from a holiday let and been emailed by the villa owner to say that because the towels and oven at the villa were dirty and because we made a noise which disturbed the neighbours that he is witholding part of our security deposit. Surely this is illegal, the owner suffered no loss or damage to his property and we just used the villa for a normal family holiday. is there anyway i can get our money back?

You could threaten to sue him in small claims if you have to. It may cause him to compromise.
