LL false information?
I called the office at our apartment complex in may to ask when our lease ended and the girl who answered told me it ended july 30th. We then began looking at other apartments and found a great deal on a very nice place only to find out from our current complex that our lease is over july 30th 2010. Now we are out $80 for the application fees and possibly the $350 we put down for the security deposit for the new place. We aren't necessarily looking to get out of our lease, but what actions can we take and what compensation are we entitled to? Thank you.

Why didn't you look at your copy of the lease to find out? You have no recourse. This was your responsibility to know.
