what property am I renting? (mobile home in florida)
I've moved into a mobile home in florida that I'm renting. The mobile home is the 1st one on the street so its right next to to main street that the mobile home park is located on. My back door faces the main road & my front door is on the opposite side facing the mobile home next to me.Outside my front door is where my cement patio is. The mobile home next to me has a addition build on to it on the opposite side that I dont see. They have a door on the addition side, a door on the side thet faces me & a door on the very front that faces our road. My neighbor has 2 vechiles & they park one on each side. I have asked my landlord about it & was told that they used the door facing my mobile home as their front door & they have some property on both sides so they can do as they want & if I dont have enough room I can use the lawn on the other side where the main road. Is that true? Oh on the other side of my neighbors mobile home is also a empty lot with no mobile home in the area then next to that is another mobile home lot with a mobile home on it which front door is on the same side as mine. Across the street all the mobile homes have their front door on the same side. thank you so much...Kelli Rogers

I don't see what your confusing description implies. You asked your LL, and he answered. Since we don't know the neighborhod, the plots of land, where any driveways are, or any other physical information, I don't see how we could give you any answer as to where you should park or what area you rent. If you don't like the answer the LL gave (that the neighbor owned land on both sides of his trailer and can park wherever he pleased on his land), I can only suggest this. Look up the property on the tax auditor's website. Look for a map or drawing of the property you reside on. That should show how much land there is with your lot. If the LL says you can park anywhere on that land that you want, go ahead.

you need to look at Florida laws on renting mobile homes. !st if you are renting more then 4 mobile homes & they are not on farm land you can only park your cars on one side which is the side of your front door. If you are storing a car you can park it on the other side but it has to be pulled to the very back. And your front door is the door with a cement slab in front of it. You cant choose what door you want to use as your front door. The owner of the mobile homes only have so many rules they can make but have to follow the rules Florida made like it or not. Please before you make a comment on some ones question do some research so what your saying doesnt apply to the state rules & your giving false information.

I have read the entire chapter 723 from FL law statutes entitled "MOBILE HOME PARK LOT TENANCIES". There is no requirement anywhere in this law to require parking on any assigned space or side of a mobile home. There is no mention of assigned places to park stored cars or other vehicles. There is no mention of laws differing for a park that is located on prior farm land. Please state where you found these laws to which you refer. I would like to know statute numbers please so I can peruse them. Otherwise, I would say there is no law as stated above. It is probably a local park's rule.
