Hi,
I have a commercial lease. From day one my landlord has been sexually harassing me and also coming over literally every day to talk to me about some "issue". I have office mates (a different business) and he has harassed them (not sexually, but in general) so much that now they are leaving. I told him I want to leave. He said I could if I could find another renter. I haven't had any luck. I am not sure what to do. Because of his harassment I now have to pay twice the rent since my office mates choose to leave. Is there anything I can do? I can't stand to even look at him. He makes me so uncomfortable. Now I am really nervous because my office mates are leaving and he is going to be coming over every day and I will be by myself! A couple of months ago I wrote him a letter that told him I felt sexually harassed. Not if he is going to say something that is bad he will say, "before you told me that I would have said..." and continues to say bad things about me, my body, or other women. Thanks for your advice. |

I am sorry for your situation. There are two things you need to consider here. First, notify your local law enforcement to see if there are grounds for a criminal investigation. Secondly, you really need to speak with a lawyer without delay. If you will go to their main page, WLD has attorneys and could give you a referral. Hope things improve soon. AJJ
