me n a few of my friends are renting a house and were moving out and we gave our 2 months notice but the appartment we're moving into we had to move in a month early so can we ask for our months rent back...we are not on a lease if that matters

Yes, please check your area's guidelines. If 60 days notice was not required by law, why did you give such a long notice?

If required by rental agreement, and the unit is re-rented during that time, you are entitled to a pro-rated refund of rent for the period when another occupant is there.
