Unhappy Rental on foreclousure

I been living in this rental house for three years and i just find out that the house is up for sale. The owner did not tell me anything about this, so i freak out and move out of the house 3 days after the first of the month without paying the rent. Can the owner sued me for this?

Depends. Did you have a lease with the owner that was still in effect? If so, yes he can sue you. Did you give the proper amount of notice and pay the rent through the notice period? If not, he can sue you. Were you on a month to month agreement and gave sufficient notice? If so, he can not sue you.

You needn't have panicked. The owner doesn't have to inform you of it being for sale. The sale of the house won't affect any lease you have. As long as it is a regular or short sale, your lease survives the sale and the new owner must honor the same lease on the same terms. If the house actually goes into foreclosure, which takes months, then you may have received a notice to move out. You jumped the gun and had no reason to move out this quickly.
