roommate issues
I am having some roommate problems and I am looking for some advice because I am not sure of my legal option are. Here is the situation: a friend of mine and I signed a 12 month lease on an apartment and then after 6 months he decided to move out and he now refuses to pay any rent. Since he wont pay rent I asked him to sign off on our lease so everything would be completely in my name but he then refused to sign off on the lease, so he wont pay rent and he won't sign off on the lease. What can I do if anything.

Re: roommate issues
If your former roommate signed the lease too, you can take him to small claims court to get his share of the rent he owes.
