Illegal apartment

Hi I live in an illegal apartment. It's a raised ranch house. The top floor houses a family of 6. 3 illegal 3 not. 3 bedroom. I live on the ground floor with my boyfriend, and a woman and her two children live in the basement. My boyfriends best friend owns the house so I know alot. He has no permits for the deck, the shed, the fence, and has an illegal kitchen in the basement apartment...the windows are of illegal size. No permits for that either. No one has a lease or security deposit. Now my question is if I get thrown out of the house because my boyfriend of 7 years and I break up, do I have a case against him. Can I report any of these issues. Even the mail lady wants to report this house. The woman upstairs also runs an illegal daycare. She calls it "babysitting". I don't want to end up on the street or fear for my well being because I live in an illegal house that belongs to my boyfrends best friend. Please help. What can I do?

You can report him but you may need to still pay for the time you are there. You need to decide how to get out of that apt if so many legal issues exist there. BTW, you normally cannot be thrown out if you are living there (or anywhere); they have to evict you and the police will escort you back if need be.
