Confused Possession?

My roommate and I ended up having to break our lease. We gave notice to the landlord and moved out on the day we said. I left the keys in the house. Landlord says we never turned over possession because there was no walk through, I say we did. Who is right?

Your finished, that is true. But you may still have broken the lease.

I know I broke the lease, I wasn't supposed to move out until April. But the landlord is taking us to court because we still owe money. We got a 5-day notice but left before that was up. That means I don't have to pay, right?

The court will likely make you pay unfortunately. At least to the eviction date and for lease break costs.
