My lease of one year is almost finish and I would like to re -lease for an other year. However, I would like to find out if my landlord is paying his mortgage.
Does anybody know how can I find out if he is paying it? My LL is leaving in Virginia and I am leasing his place in south Florida. |

There is little info on this because of privacy laws. You can check the court and auditors sites to see if any liens have been placed against him or the house. In some areas, you can see who holds the mortgage on your property on the tax site. Beyond that, you would have to ask the LL himself. You could always rerquest to go month to month so you could move by just giving proper notice if something came up. Just remember that if you do go m2m, the LL can also ask you to move with the same notice.
