Default LA: How long do I have to get them their security deposit back?

I have a tenant moving out of my house. How long do I have to get them their security deposit back? Property is in Los Angeles.

CA state law requires an itemized return of the deposit send within 3 weeks of their departure. Make sure the statement is itemized by job, number of hours, and wages per hour, and attach receipts if the deductions are over $125.
