need help asap

I am a NC resident and I have a "Complaint in summary ejectment " notice. I am on section 8 and I am late on my rent(it was due on the 1st) I have to go to court tomorrow. I tried to contact my leasing agents sevral times and I kept getting the I'll give her the message and she'll get back to you spill. I guess what I am asking is what are my options I told the agents that I could pay it all on the 16th of October but I guess by looking at the date that they had already filed the court papers.I am going to court tomorrow but I am scared that I will be ordered to vacate the premises and I have no where to go and 2 children.

Unfortunately, NC doesn't have a pay and stay rule. (Where you can stay if you can pay up by court). Expecting the LL to wait another 3 weeks for his rent is too long. By that time, the next rent will be almost due. I wish you had posted when you were first late, and not waited until you recived the court papers. Once papers are received, the case is already on the docket and on your court record. If you can, borrow the money, seek help from charitable organizations, and take the money to court. At the hearing let the judge know you have the rent in hand. He may ask the LL to stop the eviction and accept the rent. But if you have a history of being late, the LL will not willingly do so.
