Big Grin bugs

I have a scropion infested house exterminator cant get rid of ot is that a valid reason to break a lease

Well if that's true, that certainly makes it uninhabitable to most people, and if it is uninhabitable then that absolutely is reason to break the lease.

Why couldn't an exterminator get rid of them? It may take several extermination attempts (just like fleas or roaches), but I see no reason why they can't be eliminated. A systematic approach of sprays and poisons under the house or in crawlspaces should work. If you are the tenant, make sure you have the extermination request to the LL in writing and that you sent it certified, rrr, to prove he received it and when. Keep a copy and the postcard that comes back to prove this. If they aren't gone within a month (with the LL giving you a rent credit for the period when you are unable to inhabit the house), you can check your state law to see if it gives you the right to terminate a lease for LL negligence of his duties. Please post your state and I can give you the statute to read.
