Angry Allibabes

hi. i moved in2 my private rented flat in july,i have a 6 month tennency.my landlord has put the flat up for sale,,without notifiying me!!! what are my rights??.....should he of informed me that he was doing this?.it is already in the local paper,property for sale section....i knew nothing about it till this morning when est agent turned up with "for sale" board.... am in need of advice on this matter. thanx.

The LL is not required, in most places, to notify you of his intent to sell. Your lease will remain in effect until it ends regardless of any sale. The new owner will have to honor that lease. The only way this will effect you is that you will have to cooperate for showings. Inform the LL that you would like to have the state required notice prior to a showing.
