I served my tenant with a demand for possession, non payment of rent, and she decided to leave. Unfortunately, her boyfriend who was not on the lease is still living in the unit. How do I evict him since he was not on the lease? Do I serve the demand for possesion to him also? The property is located in Michigan.

Did you serve the demand addressed to the tenant only? Or to the tenant "and all others"? You should always include the phrase "and all others" on any legal paperwork so that it covers everyone in the unit. Re-serve the demand for possession with this notation on it to the tenant herself. She is responsible for the BF who stayed in the unit. If she AND the BF don't clear out, then evict both of them. You must pursue her since she was the person on the lease. You should let her know that if he doesn't leave, she gets evicted and pursued for any money owed, damages to the unit, etc. She is the one listed as being responsible for that unit.
