Unhappy landlord threatening to have car towed

I am behind in the rent because the hours at my job have been cut. I have found a temporary part time job along with the one that I have now but will not get paid until next week. I have paid the landlord $400 and the rent is $600 and she is wanting the rest of it and if she does not get it by the end of the week she will have my car towed. The jobs that I am working are non emergency medical transport and pizza delivery and I use my car for both jobs. I told her that if she does that I will not be able to work and that I could lose both jobs and if that happens I will sue her and that I will call the police.

Is it legal for her to have my car towed if I made a partial rent payment to her?

Any advice would be appreciated.

No it is not.

She has to evict you if she has a problem with the rent.

The police will intervene if she tries to take the car.

Where is your car parked? If on your private rented property, she must evict you. If on the street, it would be up to the city to tow it if it were parked illegaly. So no, she can't do this.

The car is parked in my parking space in front of the apartment.
