Confused Can Landlord tell us to remove boxes?

Our lease is up at the end of August but our landlord wants to show the unit now. She's telling us we must move our storage boxes out by the middle of August so that she can show the unit. She doesn't want our storage boxes detracting from the unit.

Can she tell us to do that?

She can't make you move your storage boxes now (I assume you mean cardboard boxes), but she can show the unit. Why not negotiate some compromise? You get a little off your last month's rent for cooperating with her showings?
