Question left me with the lease

I signed a 1 year lease for an apartment with someone and they moved out after 4 months, sticking me with the full rent. Can I get the other half of the rent from him??? He moved out because he broke my nose.

Default Re: left me with the lease

You owe the full amount of the rent to the LL. But you can sue your ex-roommate to be reimbursed for his half of the rent based on the lease the two of you signed. Sue him in small claims court.
