our housing lease contract is coming to an end july 1,2008 our landlord just sent us a letter on may 15,2008 stating she will not renew our rental lease due to her and her family falling on hardship and need to move back into the house. that only gives us a month and half to get the money up to move out is this legal?

That depends on 2 things. One is how much notice is listed in your lease. The other is the state or area you live in. Each area has its own laws about how much notice is required to vacate. In some areas, you would need 60 days notice, in others it is as little as 10 days. Please post where you live to get specifics.
