Would you like to be more specific in the problems you are having? Is it LL's right of entry, your obligations under a lease, an eviction, late fees/grace periods, rent withholding/repair & deduct remedies, LL harassment/retaliation, security deposit problems, subleases, rent increases, terminations & notices, lease violations, non-payment of rent, other fees in your lease, ... What?
In general, the statutes for MI can be found under MI Comprehensive Laws 554.131 to 554.201 & 554.601 to 554.641 if you care to read through the entire sections. I'd be happy to help but I need more information. |

my husband is a contractor in va , on december 2006 he decide to rent a property he is being working on it( inside remodeling) i wa not agree since the property was not done still he signed a contract with the landor, on the contract said , my husband was suppose to fix and finish some more details( like garden , fireplace , built a sun room, a dryway( done) at the property, but then at the time he( my husband) is being working , he found out the property never passed inspection before ( i think is the foundation) my husband didn't know.. but the landor knew of course. so my husband got mad and told the landor that he can not work on the changes since it would cost more than we imaging , is been over a year but my husband didn't finish all work on the house. landorf sent us a letter saying if we don't want to purchase the house we need to vacant the property by july 30th. I don't want to purchase the house.. so I told him we will leave the premises as soon as we can finfd a new pl to leave. Is that possible? Can someone rent a property , even if the tenant is agree , that has not been in proper condition, I was afraid since a have a little boy 3 1/2 years now but when i moved in he was only 2 years.

If you moved into a property in 2006 and have signed no new agreements since then, chances are you are now a month to month tenant. It sounds as if you had a lease-purchase contract on this property, but no longer want to buy it. If the above facts are true, the LL can give you notice to vacate the property (in VA, a m2m renant is supposed to get 30 days notice to leave). This sounds as if the LL is giving you this notice since he wants you out by July 30th. You should start packing because you need to be out of the house by that date or face court eviction. I'm sorry, but without a current lease, that is all the notice you will get.
