Angry you want my horses????

My landlord is somewhat of a slum lord...but that is a whole other story....the other night he phoned me and told that if I did not pay my back rent that he was going to come and take my horses, and sell them to pay the back rent...can he do this? it will break my children's hearts as the horses belong to them not me.

No, a LL cannot seize your possessions to get restitution unless authorized by a court to do so. He is probably bluffing. If he tries, call the police.
