I would say up it goes. They cannot really stop you unless specifically agreed in advance.

A claim that a sign is racist just because the politician is of a certain minority is not the same as enforcing a "no window coverings" rule. If this is his only argument, I agree his is discriminating. Read through the contract thoroughly and look for a clause on window coverings. Please post back what the clause says. I'm curious. (I also would call the political party headquarters and let them know! Maybe they can blanket the area with his signs - not that I support this or any other candidate. I just don't like racism.)
