Is my contract with the City of LA still binding?
I am an itinerant storyteller who under contract with the City of LA completed 8-months worth of work. On January 12, 2004 a city employee placed a message in my voice mail box, the means by which I was informed e that payment in full on my contract had been cancelled. The project under this contract was completed 2 days later, January 14, 2004. The amount of the contract award: $8500. I have been accorded a personna non gratus reception by the City ever since. Beginning in Feb 2004, I launched a letter writing campaign with follow-up calls to City Council members and Mayor. As of to date, the hard earned, unpaid income is still being sought. Please provide urgently needed legal advice and assistance. Thank you for a prompt response to this inquiry. As for the icon menu that best represents my predicament, I am not amused. |
