Confused Tuition Reimbursement - Georgia

I have received tuition reimbursement for the past 2 years, as I've been earning my MBA. I signed a very condensed contract, indicating I would pay back in the event I don't stay for 3 years after graduation. Now, I am experiencing a situation which is forcing me to seek employment elsewhere.

Is the contract enforcable? Is the contract wording needed, in order to decide? What are my options; at this point, I don't want to pay!

Yes have a lawyer review it.

It is enforceable as a general rule.

If there is extreme hardship the company may compromise or the contract may have exceptions for you.

I had the same question.. In my situation, I have to pay, but the contact did not indicate the terms. Now my previous emplyer is asking for $350/mo payments and a signed promissary note. I cannot afford that much! Additionally, I refuse to sign a promissary note. They are threatening to turn me over to collections.

Who now determines how much I have to pay? Do I have an option of paying $50-$75/mo? Any advice would be appreciated, regarding how I approach this with the company. I left on very good terms...
