I switched my personal cell phone number to my employer to their service provided on their instance. They had a discount plan for all their employees cell phones. I was hesitant, but was given a verbal reassurance that if I left the company, I would be able to have my number returned to me.
Needless to say, I left the company and they will not return my number. Company policy they claim. I gave them the number in good faith, now I feel Ive been shafted. I had that number for 4 years before I joined the organization and have hundreds of contacts that will not be able to get a hold of me now. I live in Indiana, company headquarters in Texas. Any recourse? |

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...
