Confused Defamation Help!!!

I received a reprimand from my boss yesterday, and he put me on 2 weeks probation for unprofessional conduct in the dental office to an employee. It's all horse apples. I am always comforting the patients, because they are fearful or in pain. I comfort co-workers after Dr. Hood gets on their case and has them in tears.

It states as follows:

Kerrie M, as of today, Monday, January 29, 2008, you are on 2 week's probation for unprofessional conduct in the dental office to an employee.

Shannon G. said she has never been treated the way you, Kerrie, treated her this morning. She said she will not work with someone that can be that rude, and she left.

Aaron H asked for a call back and when I called said Shannon was very polite. He also said Kerrie was unprofessional, rude, and mean to Shannon. He said he was not pleased that I, as an employer, allow such unprofessional treatment of fellow employees.

I will not. You nedd to drastically change your conduct. We Just lost a brand new assistant, after 1 1/2 days, due to the derogatory manner in which you treated her. We almost lost a patient. Fortunately, he called to report it, as most patients would no be involved.

Effiective today, you are on 2 week's probation for the following reasons:

1. Staff member quit because of your demeaning treatment of her.
2. Patient called and said you could not have been any more rude than you were. Patient said you were unbelievable condescending and rude to your co-worker in front of the patient and reported your poor attitude to the doctor.
3. Areas needing improvement:
a. Attitude
b. voice tone
c. treatment of co-workers
d. professionalism in front of a patient
e. kindness and show of caring and respectful attitude to staff
f. kindness and show of caring and respectfull attitude to patients
