Angry being searched at work

Im a bartender at work there is no employee handbook that states we are subject to random searches. Money was taken from one of our tip jars, the club owner asked me to step into a private room where she searched all my pockets as well as asking me to lift my bra and shake my pants. She found nothing then told me she was sorry for the confusion. Is this legal????

Default Re: being searched at work

You could have refused; you don't have to submit.

but they could let you go as well, just as you can quit...
