i work for a company that has no union and have been trying to get better paying position. through six months, three interveiws, two and a half months of training, and one job performance evaluation i've gained the experiance to perform the job. but they won't give it to me. i recently learned that just before the third interveiw my wife and another co-worker(both work at the same plant different shift) filed a harrasment claim against one of the supers. i belive this is why i suddenly can't advance. how do i prove this? how much weight does coincedence and/or common sence have in labor law procedings?? thank you.

You could consult your nearest Department of Labor office to briefly discuss the issue with them first...you may also want to ask the company to put what is happening in writing and explain to them that you may have attorneys review the situation...try speaking to a higher level of management about the issue; they may override the other managers. If none of these efforts resolves the issue, let us know.
